#AmnestyBookSale success

Thanks to everyone that played a part in making yesterday’s book sale such a fantastic achievement. The £10,864.58 raised will make a difference to human rights around the world. The campaign stall saw over 150 people ask the UK government to do more for peace in Syria and the book of condolence for Jo Cox’s family was appreciated by so many. The cakes and hot drinks also helped keep us all well refreshed.

Thanks to all those who came, all those that volunteered, that donated books and those that prompted our book sale to others.

The event truly is one that brings people together and puts human rights at the heart of our community. The date of the next book sale is Saturday 19 November 10-4 – we look forward to seeing you then. As usual any queries email AIBG.enquiries@gmail.com

#AmnestyBookSale:    Thankyou for the book donations

With just two days to go now we’d like to let you know we have a large number of books, possibly even more than some sales. This has only been possible thanks to the many people and organisations that have donated books to us. A huge thanks to you all.

The photo above gives an idea of the sheer volume of books we have. See you all at the book sale on Saturday 9-5 at the Church of the Ascension on Dartmouth Row, Blackheath.

Time to move for  #AmnestyBookSale

We will be moving the books from the garage in DartmouthRow to the church in Dartmouth Row on Monday starting at 7pm.

We need cars and drivers for the convoy and people who can load and unload the cars at the garage and church respectively.
Please do come! The more people who are there to help the sooner we can go home on Monday – in any case we would like to finish by 9pm. Email AIBG.enquiries@gmail.com if you can assist.
