The last in the series of guided walks which the Mayfair and Soho group have been putting on with Footprints of London is this Sunday, 11 October. In ‘Making a Difference in Dalston’ Ray Blackburn of Footprints tells the story of how people in Hackney struggled for change, protecting minorities on the streets and improving the lot of women.
They will meet at 2.30 at Dalston Junction overground station and the walk will last between one and a half and two hours.
Tickets £10 from www.footprintsoflondon.com.
These walks have been a great opportunity to have our eyes opened to London and its history, particularly the struggle for human rights, and you’re all very welcome.
