Amnesty UK’s Trade Union and LGBTI networks invite you to a free screening of 2014 feature film Pride at Amnesty UK’s London building.
They’re marking 30 years since lesbian and gay activists came to show solidarity with miners and their communities in South Wales during the protracted pit dispute. This moving and very funny account of an unlikely alliance is based on a true story and the film will be briefly introduced by a veteran from those struggles.
Afterwards there will be a drinks reception with stalls and an opportunity to take action on a current case.
