On Friday 26 September, Amnesty Waltham Forest are opening the doors to the ballroom for their annual 1920’s Party. For the fifth time they are presenting Jazz songs from the 1920’s and 1930’s performed by the excellent Jazz band “While the Cat’s Away”. In between sets DJ TonyTunes will entertain you with his original Shellac records – some of which will also be available for you to buy.
The special guests this year – Floria & Warren who trained the dancers for the Olympic Opening Ceremony in 2012 – will teach you how to move your feet and wow you with their dance routine.
There will be a bar and savoury snacks and sweets can be purchased by making a small donation.
Furthermore there will be a jewellery sales by Beyond Beading of Walthamstow. So with Christmas around the corner why not pick up a sparkly something as a present this year.
All money gained from ticket sales will go to Amnesty International to support human rights.
