Since 1961, Amnesty International has fought for human rights globally through a multitude of campaigns using various methods such as art, comedy, literature, film, theatre, petitions, letter-writing and direct campaigning and fundraising. They uphold the UN Declaration of Human Rights and work with the European Human Rights Commission. They are actively involved in defending human rights in every country and/or geographical region worldwide.
